Trainer May Chadick Makes TASHA Hall of Fame
What a week VPF had at Pin Oak Charity Horse Show! What an amazing group of people and horses! So many thanks for helping make this show a huge success for our team. And to top things off, VPF Trainer May Chadick was inducted into the Texas American Saddlebred Horse Association Hall of Fame!
Blessed are the Broodmares…
Our two lovely girls have given us healthy, beautiful foals. Catherine of Aragon had a huge stud colt by A Rare Temper in late April. This mare was a rescue…abandoned at a sale barn by her previous owner, saved by Kelley Pomeroy and adopted by Kelly McQuerry Henderson and May Chadick. A little research done and some extra TLC and boy, do we have something special!
Not Born At Night delivered a stretchy filly by Leatherwood’s Bourbon Reserve late last night. This filly is a full sister to last year’s stunning colt, Must Be The Whiskey.
VPF is so thankful for great partners who believe in our breed, an amazing reproductive specialist, David Riddle, and the fantastic staff at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital for safely delivering our foals.

Big D Charity Horse Show
We couldn’t be more pleased with or proud of our riders and horses that attended Big D Charity Horse Show. Any good coach knows that each team progresses at their own speed and with their individual goals in mind. Our group of ladies were fierce and their efforts mighty, but most importantly, we ALL had an absolutely fabulous time together. How blessed are we?
Vantage Point Farm 2023 Breed Ambassador Winners
The ASHBA Breed Ambassador Program recognizes and celebrates those who help to promote the American Saddlebred, whether they have one horse or one hundred, whether they live in the great west or in the heart of horse country, and whether they compete in saddle seat, dressage, or trail riding.
Points can also be earned for riding in parades, getting on television or in magazines, going to exhibitions, attending open breed shows, and a myriad of other activities. The ASHBA recognizes that no one outreach event works in every area, and that anything we as a community can do it valuable. Vantage Point Farm and our own Ian McPhee were recognized for their efforts and accomplishments in these areas in 2023.
Any ASHBA member and their registered full or Half American Saddlebred who takes the time to reach out and share the breed with those outside our Saddlebred community can earn points to become a Regional Breed Ambassador and possibly a National Champion Breed Ambassador!
Congratulations to all of our 2023 Breed Ambassador Award winners! We thank you for the service and promotion of the American Saddlebred throughout the 2023 year.

Ria Raju Wins Two Awards
Congratulations to Ria Raju on receiving the Louise Bennett American Saddlebred Community Service Award and the UPHA William Woods University Performance Rider/Driver Community Service Award.
New "Parents Night Out" Program at VPF
Everyone can use a night out! Not only will parents have some much-needed adult time, they’ll relax knowing their children are busy enjoying an evening with the VPF horses and staff. Parents Night Out will take place once each month on a Friday evening and will be limited to 12 children (ages 6 & older) per session on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fridays — 5-8 pm. $50 per child.
